Génesis de algunas “voces rioplatenses”

Abstract

The objective of this article is to follow the historical journey of some phraseological units that are registered as “rioplatenses” voices in the Diccionario del español del Uruguay (DeU). In order to accomplish this, it becomes necessary to explain what is meant by “unidad fraseológica” and wich are the antecedents in the study of this discipline. Then, based on the described characteristics, is provided the analysis of the selection of phrases made, from different levels: historical, cultural, grammatical, and lexical. This treatment allows to reveal its old record in the literature and its variations over time.
