Didactic-pedagogical and Second Language Acquisition Principles used in the Casas de Cultura no Campus Project at Universidade Federal de Alagoas

In this paper we present the principles that guided the development of the materials produced in 2023 and 2024 for the Spanish extension course of the Casas de Cultura en el Campus (CCC Español) project at the Universidade Federal de Alagoas, in northeastern Brazil. These are recommendations made by several authors based on teaching and research in SLA. We also used an general andragogical-heutagogical approach with attention to working with close languages, so we use predominantly inductive teaching processes. In the selection of the materials and the preparation of the activities we paid attention to the use of a varied input, communicative tasks, attention to form, as well as work with strategies, use of realia and practice in pairs or small groups. We also highlight the care taken with the design of the materials prepared for use on students' mobile phones and the use of infographics. We will also show audios produced using generative AI. The materials are still under development, but the results obtained so far are promising.
